CHOICE OF WORDS:(1.) Русским "на днях", "недавно" могут соответствовать разные слова и обороты в зависимости от периода времени, который обозначают русские слова "на днях", "недавно". "На днях" - в значении "до недавнего времени, в недалеком прошлом, еще связанным с настоящим моментом речи" - обозначается recently: as recently as last week еще на прошлой неделе. Глагол в подобных случаях часто стоит в форме Present Perfect: We have lived here quite recently! Мы еще совсем недавно здесь жили!
